- Be sure to use the supplied Battery Lock Driver. Never use coins or other similar objects; the phone may be damaged.

- Are the Headset Adaptor, Desk Top Cradle and AC Charger water-resistant?
- No, the Headset Adaptor, Desk Top Cradle and AC Charger are not water-resistant.

- Can I use my phone in a bathroom or shower stall?
- The phone is not heat-resistant. Do not place it in a hot bath or apply liquid soap.
And, do not place it under faucet or shower adding water-pressure.

- Can I use my phone in the sea and the pool?
- The phone can be waterproofed only with tap water. Never soak in the liquids other than tap water.

- How can I play a video message that I receive via email?
- To play Video Messages received via email, please download Apple's updated QuickTime.
Go to www.apple.com/quicktime/download to download the free player or upgrade your existing QuickTime Player.
During the download process, when asked to choose an installation type (Minimum, Recommended or Custom) select Minimum for a quicker download.

- How many received messages can I store in my phone?
- The phone can store up to about 500 messages (100 inbox E-Mail messages, 100 inbox SMS messages,100 sent E-Mail messages, 100 sent SMS messages, 50 draft E-Mail messages, 50 draft SMS messages).
The information stored in the message is determined by phone mode and service capability. Other messaging limitations may exist. Please check with your service provider for system features and capabilities.

- When the Memory Full message appears, what should I do?
- This depends on error descriptions shown under the Memory Full message.

- How can I use a headset?
- Use the Headset Adaptor supplied with the phone.

- Why can't I set up some Wallpapers?
- Files more than 5MB and WMV files are not available to be set up as Wallpaper.

- Why is my location not always correct, or not able to acquire a signal when using GPS?
- GPS satellite signals can intermittently be interrupted, especially under bad atmospheric and environmental conditions, or blocked when indoors, etc.


- What is the circle above the speaker on the back of the phone?
- It is the RF Cap. Never remove the RF cap; otherwise it may cause product failure.

- Besides text-based messages, what can I send?
- For TXT/PIX/FLIX Msg, the following can be sent.
·TXT Msg: graphics, animations, and sounds specific to Headset
·PIX Msg: picture file in the My PIX folder, and sound file in My Sounds folder

- Does the flash turn off automatically in video mode?
- The flash does not work in video mode.

- Why doesn't the Auto Answer Mode work properly?
- When the phone is closed, the Auto Answer Mode will not function, except when connected to a headset. When the phone is open, the Auto Answer Mode will only function when the Speaker Mode is set to On. The Auto Answer will function after about five (5) seconds.

- How can I use the Countdown Timer function when the phone is closed?
- When the phone is closed and it is in the idle mode, Countdown Timer can be run by pressing Voice Command Key for 2 seconds. You can choose the one of the three set timer values using the Volume Down key.
The Volume Up key can be used to start or to pause it. To reset, pressing it for 2 seconds on the way. If Voice Command key is pressed for 2 seconds in this mode, it will return the phone to the idle mode.

- How can I use the Stopwatch function when the phone is closed?
- When the phone is closed and it is in the idle mode, Stopwatch can be run by pressing Voice Command Key for 2 seconds and pressing the key shortly again. The Volume Up key can be used to start or to pause it. To reset,
pressing it for 2 seconds on the way. And the Volume Down key can be used to split it on the way. If Voice Command key is pressed in this mode, it will return the phone to the idle mode.

- Can I use the 2.5φ or 3.5φ plug wire headset while the unit is being recharged?
- If you use the “Splitter” packaged with the unit, you can utilize the 2.5φ or 3.5φ plug wire headset. The water-resistant features do not operate while the “Splitter” is in use, however.

- If I try to use the electronic compass while driving in my car, sometimes it points in an erratic direction. Why is this?
- If you use the compass in or nearby automobiles, trains, or other objects that have a magnetic charge, it increases the chance of measurement error.

- Can I operate “V CAST Music” with my phone closed?
- If “PTT Mode” is OFF, you can press and hold the “PTT key” to start “V CAST Music” and begin playing the music stored there. While the phone is closed, you can use the side keys to adjust the volume or to stop and play, but cannot use select forward or select reverse.

- Are the Wallpaper and Menu compatible with Flash?
- The preset Wallpaper or Menu items are compatible with Flash. However, you cannot use a Flash-compatible Wallpaper or Menu that was stored by downloading or microSD.
