  • How should the battery be removed from the phone?
  • Be sure to use the supplied Battery Lock Driver. Never use coins or other similar objects; the phone may be damaged.
  • Are the Headset Adaptor, Desk Top Cradle and AC Charger water-resistant?
  • No, the Headset Adaptor, Desk Top Cradle and AC Charger are not water-resistant.
  • Can I use my phone in a bathroom or shower stall?
  • The phone is not resistant to hot water. Do not place it in a hot bath or apply liquid soap. Also, do not place it under pressurized water, like that coming out of a faucet or showerhead
  • Can I use my phone in the sea and the pool?
  • The phone can be waterproofed only with tap water. Never soak in the liquids other than tap water. If seawater, soap, etc adhere to the phone, it can be washed under lightly running water. (approx. 10cm from the tap or showerhead, at a temperature of 41~
  • How can I play a video message that I receive via email?
  • To play Video Messages received via email, please download Apple's updated QuickTime. Go to www.apple.com/quicktime/download to download the free player or upgrade your existing QuickTime Player.
    During the download process, when asked to choose an installation type (Minimum, Recommended or Custom) select Minimum for a quicker download.
  • How many received messages can I store in my phone?
  • The phone can store up to about 500 messages (100 inbox E-Mail messages, 100 inbox SMS messages,100 sent E-Mail messages, 100 sent SMS messages, 50 draft E-Mail messages, 50 draft SMS messages).
    The information stored in the message is determined by phone mode and service capability. Other messaging limitations may exist. Please check with your service provider for system features and capabilities.
  • When the Memory Full message appears, what should I do?
  • This depends on error descriptions shown under the Memory Full message.
    "TXT Msg xx% FULL E Delete unnecessary TXT Msg.
    "PIX Msg xx% FULL E Delete unnecessary PIX/FLIX Msg.
    "PIX Noti Msg xx% FULL E Delete unnecessary PIX/FLIX Notification Msg.
  • Is it possible to do macro photography with this camera?
  • No, the phone does not have a macro function.
  • Can I use the camera flash as a light source?
  • Yes, to turn flash on/off, press and hold Speaker/FLASH Key when the phone is in idle mode.
  • How can I use a headset?
  • Use the Headset Adaptor supplied with the phone.
  • Why can't I set up some Wallpapers?
  • Files more than 5MB and WMV files are not available to be set up as Wallpaper.
  • Why is my location not always correct, or not able to acquire a signal when using GPS?
  • GPS satellite signals can intermittently be interrupted, especially under bad atmospheric and environmental conditions, or blocked when indoors, etc.
  • Is the phone water resistant when earphones are plugged in?
  • No. The phone is no longer water resisitant when any covers are open. Do not allow the phone to get wet, or be in high humidity when using an earphone.

  • What is the circle above the speaker on the back of the phone?
  • It is the RF Cap. Never remove the RF cap; otherwise it may cause product failure.
  • Besides text-based messages, what can I send?
  • For TXT/PIX/FLIX Msg, the following can be sent. キTXT Msg: graphics, animations, and sounds specific to Headset キPIX Msg: picture file in the My PIX folder, and sound file in My Sounds folder キFLIX Msg: video file in the My FLIX folder
  • Does the flash turn off automatically in video mode?
  • The flash does not operate in video mode.
  • Why doesn't the Auto Answer Mode work properly?
  • When the phone is closed, the Auto Answer Mode will not function, except when connected to a headset. When the phone is open, the Auto Answer Mode will only function when the Speaker Mode is set to On. The Auto Answer will function after about five (5) seconds.
  • How can I use the Countdown Timer function when the phone is closed?
  • When the phone is closed and it is in the idle mode, Countdown Timer can be run by pressing Voice Command Key for 2 seconds. You can choose the one of the three set timer values using the Volume Down key.
    The Volume Up key can be used to start or to pause it. To reset, pressing it for 2 seconds on the way. If Voice Command key is pressed for 2 seconds in this mode, it will return the phone to the idle mode.
  • How can I use the Stopwatch function when the phone is closed?
  • When the phone is closed and it is in the idle mode, Stopwatch can be run by pressing Voice Command Key for 2 seconds and pressing the key quickly again. The Volume Up key can be used to start or to pause it. To reset, pressing it for 2 seconds on the way

  • Use the 泥evice Lock Tool You can also use this tool to open or close the battery lock knob and to take the microSD card out of the main body.
  • Can I plug the main body into the battery stand while the optional L battery is attached?
  • Yes.
  • Can I use the 2.5φ or 3.5φ plug wire headset while the unit is being recharged?
  • If you use the "Splitter" packaged with the unit, you can utilize a 2.5f or 3.5f plug wire headset.
  • If I try to use the electronic compass while driving in my car, sometimes it points in an erratic direction. Why is this?
  • If you use the compass in or nearby automobiles, trains, or other objects that have a magnetic charge, it increases the chance of measurement error.
  • Can I operate 天 CAST Music・with my phone closed?
  • If 撤TT Mode・is OFF, you can press and hold the 撤TT key・to start 天 CAST Music・and begin playing the music stored there. While the phone is closed, you can use the side keys to adjust the volume or to stop and play, but cannot use select forward or select reverse.
  • Are the Wallpaper and Menu compatible with Flash?
  • Only the Wallpaper and Menu presets are compatible.

  • How should the battery be removed from the phone?
  • Move the battery lock to the 擢REE・position, and lift the battery cover from the side closest to you. (Lift the cover carefully to avoid any damage.)
  • Are the Headset Adaptor, Desk Top Cradle and AC Charger water-resistant?
  • No, they are not..
  • Can I use my phone in a bathroom or shower stall?
  • The phone is not heat-resistant. Do not place it in a hot bath or allow it to contact liquid soap.
    Also, do not place it under a faucet or shower which adds water pressure.
  • Can I use my phone in the sea and the pool?
  • The phone is water resistant only in tap water. Never soak it in liquids other than tap water.
  • How can I play a video message that I receive via email?
  • To play a video message received via email, please download the most recent version of QuickTime by Apple. Go to www.apple.com/quicktime/download to download the free player or upgrade your existing QuickTime player.

  • Is Flash supported for the wallpaper and menu features?
  • The preset wallpapers and menu items do support Flash, but any Flash wallpapers or menu items that are downloaded or transferred via a MicroSD card will not work.
  • Can V CAST Music be operated even when the phone is closed?
  • When the shutter key on the side of the phone is pressed and held, V CAST Music will start up and the loaded songs will start to play. The volume, as well as the play, stop, and skip functions can be operated using the side keys.
  • Can the optional L battery be charged while inside the phone on the charger stand?
  • Yes.
  • Can a wired headset be used while the phone is charging?
  • As long as it is compatible with the headset adapter provided, a wired headset with a 2.5-mm plug can be used while the phone is charging. However, the water resistance feature is not guaranteed while the headset adapter is in use.
  • Can the zoom function be used even for video?
  • Although the zoom function cannot be used while video is being recorded, you can zoom in or out before video recording starts or while recording is paused.

  • When the alarm rang I turned the phone upside down, and the ringing stopped.
  • This is the Rotation Silencer function. You can stop the sound and vibration of incoming call alerts, new message alerts, alarms, or scheduled alarms by simply turning a handset placed horizontally on a desk or table upside-down.
  • Will the water resistance be OK as long as the battery lock is set at the locked position?
  • Before you lock the screw type battery lock, make sure you have taking the following steps:
    Close the battery cover and push the four corners and center firmly.
    Close the headset connector port and charging data port firmly

BRIGADE

  • How do I open the battery cover?
  • Slide the battery lock from LOCK to FREE. Insert your fingertip into the recess (1), and then pull the battery cover up in the direction indicated in the figure to the right (2).

  • How do I close the battery cover?
  • Place the battery cover properly on the handset.
    First,insert the cover from the SIDE KEY side, push the cover edge on the BATTERY LOCK side in gently.
    Then press down firmly on the side of the battery cover at each arrow point, as shown to the figure.
    Slide the Battery Cover Lock to the LOCK position.

  • Where is the microphone?
  • On the side, near the speaker.
  • I turned on the camera but it痴 not displaying.
  • Check that you are not covering the lens with your fingers.
    Especially when texting, because of where you grip the phone.
  • Is the phone water resistant when earphones are plugged in?
  • No. The phone is no longer water resisitant when any covers are open.
